The funny part is that now Skill Updates are each 2 months, and if they want split it we have to wait 2 months.

They still haven't made dervishes not suck, so I'm not impressed. I'm positive they know of the problem...

Thank goodness. They finally put Tolkano into JQ & FA. No more having to pop up to the temple to cash in your Balthazar faction before it runs over the limit.
Thank you ANet.

You seem to be missing the fact that Scythes auto-hit for 100+.

the post a few pages ago about how the dev notes justify seeing MoR get cast lets people know utterly fails when it's AI doing the watching just owned

The MoR change isn't that bad. The energy cost should be dropped to 5, and the recharge should be dropped to 12, but other than that, I don't really disagree with the change.

I'm so thoroughly amused that the SF QQers have transposed Linsey's vague comment of "We might look at SF in the future" into "OMG it's getting nerfed RIGHT NAO!"
THIS is how dumb rumours start.

I've never bitched about any of the updates before and to this day I have never even created a sin on my account, not even for a mule. But seriously Anet wtf are thinking?!?! I've never heard anyone complain about selfless spirit, yet you stomp on it out of the blue... sure a 600/smite is a very versatile/powerful farmer and I'll admit I love mine, but then you come and whack mantra so hard it may as well not even be on the bar. I saw a couple posts saying maybe it was to weed out some newer 600's etc, but really, I'd like to see anyone 600 UW in HM with no mantra (just an example). Sure, in many areas you could bring another hero, but that really kind of defeats the purpose, may as well just go with a full h/h team or make a sin.. and at the same time as powerful as it was/is, it was an option to farming with a sin!!!! So, why don't you tell us Anet, are you afraid to touch sins, you freely pummel everything else but won't even take a blind swing at them with ye olde nerf bat. If it's what you want, why don't you just do away with all characters on the creation screen except for the sin, call it perma wars and be done with it ffs.... One day you make me happy with the Pirate event the next you make me want throw my computer out the window. This update blows the biggest chunks ever!!! Bah...

Then I came here to comment on it, and someone points out to me something important I've missed: MoR nerf hurts 600/Smite badly.
I can't stop grinning. You win today, ANet. You win. I really can't wait for the SF nerf. Please take your time and do it right, you've already just nuked one of the most overpowered, nonsensical, and long standing farms, and you deserve a pat on the back and a break for that.

Finally, someone with some sense.
They obviously can't just drop the SF nerf overnight. Shadow Form will get what's coming to it, so I honestly don't know why you guys are throwing a fit.
Overall, though, it was a good update. The meta should get back to something respectable now.

I think they are deliberately nerfing now to drive the remaining people out of the game so it will be easier for them to shut down the servers and migrate to GW2.
I mean the games age, ever shorting life expectancy, and the size remaining population is such that there is NO longer any viable need for skill balancing they should have just left it alone concentrated on GW2 instead.

i've come to the conclusion that with very few exceptions, pve'ers have no idea what they are talking about.
most of this update doesn't affect them. indeed, a few skills even got buffed on the pve side. even the ones that got nerfed generally does not affect them. most of the nerfs were significant only in pvp.
so if most of this update doesn't affect them, why are they crying? i have no clue.

Madness
Sin Wars is so broken now its no longer amusing.
Why nerf the hell out of every profession except Permas. Semi easy farming
build/duo gets pummelled but a super easy, button masher continues to be
left alone. Bizarre. Obviously a bad batch being smoked at Anet atm.
UW other than Sin SC, forget it, no chance.
Click, gn GW, been fun, SF is short for So F**ckd up. Until they sort out
Permas/Sins I'm outta here.

I think it's that fact that it doesn't actually change anything. Crying about the MoR nerf, meh. It's a bit underpowered now, but whatever.
However, the fact that a very obvious broken skill still hasn't been touched is very disappointing. Not only the fact that it hasn't been changed, but the fact that ANet hasn't bothered to change it is very disheartening when thinking about GW2. Are they just that bad at balancing? Are they blind? It really makes you question the people attempting to balance the game, imo

i think the reason why anet is so hesitant on nerfing SF is because they buffed SF a year ago on purpose. they knew full well that the PVE version of SF will become infinitely maintainable, because they MADE it with that in mind. why they want to implement a godemode build in the first place is entirely beyond me.
now that it's here, it's now very hard to remove. this is because A) anet will almost never admit their mistakes, and B) an entire community has grown up around the godemode build, and removing it now would hurt A LOT. anet created this mess on purpose, but they don't want to be held accountable once the shit hits the fan. the skill should have never been here.

This. Honestly, MoR made skills which were balanced by their cast time become overpowered (VoR, backfire, empathy, sig of humil). Sucks if other builds were affected by this change, but the mentality behind bringing the skill is the same, which most likely means the bar using MoR was overpowered as well.

very true they miss all the skills that should be nerfed.
As for MoR it gave a few casters the ability to farm but now people are just gonna abuse the sin more and more.
this game is losing lots of people a week and these bad balances arent helping people want to play but more of making people rage.
I am so close to quiting this game.
